Pedras Preciosas I (Precisous Stones I )
40cm x 40cm
Acrylic on Canvas
When I was a small boy my grandparents lived in the northern Finland near the largest river of Finland. I used to pass all my summer holidays with them in the north, one of the most common things on a sunny summer day would be stand besides the river and throw those small round stones to the river. We used compete with my sisters and cousins who could make the rock jump more times over the river.
These memories of my precisous stones from my childhood that inspired this painting.
